Rockstar Removing Modded Money - New Anti Cheat?

Rockstar are taking on modders yet again and this time they are hitting where it hurts, the wallet. The game publishers are removing ill gotten gains directly from Maze bank accounts in the game according to sources.

If we are to believe the reports to be true and you have gained money from cash drop lobbies or had money modded in any other way, eventually you will receive a pop up message from Maze Bank that says " There has been an error on your account. Money has been transfered incorrectly and has been removed. We apologize for this mistake, yours sincerely, Maze Bank Of Los Santos."

This would seem as though Rockstar have upped their game and released a new anti cheat system right? Well it would if there wasn't conflicting stories suggesting that Rockstar were actually putting money into accounts.

Apparently some gamers have been receiving messages saying the following " There has been a bank error in your favor. Cash has been credited to your account. We apologize for this mistake, yours sincerely, Maze Bank Of Los Santos."

Rockstar have not yet commented on why some gamers are having money removed whilst others are being credited. We have reached out to the company for a response.

Have you had money taken from your bank account or maybe you have been credited? Does this sound like a new anti cheat to you considering that money is not only being removed from Maze bank accounts? Wouldn't Rockstar just ban modded accounts?
